SlaX
Slax is a live linux distribution based on Slackware (up to version 7.0.8). The biggest advantage is, that live image can be easily customized by Slax modules. Slax was developed by Tomáš Matějíček and the last slackware-based version (7.0.8) was released in March 2013.
The new Slax 9 has been released in December 2017. Slax 9 is based on debian and it uses fluxbox instead of KDE. There are only a few preinstalled desktop apps like internet browser (Chromium) and file manager (dolphin). Additional apps can be installed via apt command.
